This 2.5GBASE-T SFP copper transceiver module offers a cheap replacement for Generic SFP-2.5G-T without lowering the quality of your network connectivity. Manufactured by a third party, this compatible transceiver has been programmed and tested to work as the original Generic SFP-2.5G-T 2.5GBASE-T SFP module but at a very affordable price. The compatible SFP-2.5G-T works perfectly with Generic network switches, routers, firewalls, security gateway, fiber media converter, servers, NAS, accelerator card, network adapters and interface card (NICs). It's specifically designed for high-speed 2.5GBase-T / 1000Base-T/100Base-T Ethernet communication over Cat5e/Cat6a cable. This 2.5GBase-T transceiver uses the SFP's RX_LOS(must be pulled up on host) pin for link indication. If pull up or open SFP's TX_DISABLE pin, PHY IC be reset.
In the ingress direction, the entire packet is fully buffered prior to being transmitted out of the Host port at 2.5Gbps. In the egress direction, the 2.5Gbps packet is buffered since the line port at a slow speed, the egress packet should be throttled to match the lower speed by extending the IPG between packets. flow control can be enabled on the host side MAC to limit the flow of packets.
