The UF-SFP-100-T is a multi-speed 10/100Base-TX copper interface Fast Ethernet SFP transceiver reaching up to 100m distance on Cat5e/6 cabling.
The copper SFP is useful when connections via TP cable on very short distances are needed. Avoiding the more expensive fiber uplinks, copper transceiver provides convenient RJ45 access on regular SFP slot ports for every networking device equipped with such slots. The copper SFPs are having 100Base-FX NRZI interface supporting both the multi-rate 10/100Base-TX and the fixed 100Base-TX copper ports, guaranteeing a very wide compatibility with most networking devices.
UTP SFP transceivers have been tested for compatibility with a large variety of networking devices from well known brands like: Cisco, Juniper, Force10, Edge-Core, ZyXEL, D-Link and many others. The transceivers follow the industry standards of SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) and SFF-8472, making them directly interchangeable with any networking device following industry standards.
